Jesse Colford

Jesse Colford is an alumnus of Boston University Bands and holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Saxophone and Composition from BU. He has had a passion for marching band since freshman year at North Andover High School and hasn’t missed a fall season since, either as performer or instructor.

In addition to years of school ensembles, Jesse has performed in and around Boston with his former band Cathartic Conundrum, saxophone quartets, jazz combos, and the nonprofit choir Voices 21C. He enjoys making music across multiple genres and has composed for both jazz groups and larger classical ensembles.

He currently works as an arts administrator for New Philharmonia Orchestra in Newton, MA and teaches private lessons in North Andover. Jesse is thrilled to come back to the BU Marching Band as staff and hopes the experience is as fun and rewarding for its current students as it was for him.
