Reed Romanko

Pep Band Tenor Saxophone Section Leader

Hometown: Cedar Grove, New Jersey

Bio: I played the alto and tenor sax in middle school but had to stop in high school. When I came to BU, I knew that I wanted music to be a big part of my college experience and thought joining the BU pep band would be a great means to that end. I picked up what I lost in no time, progressed a lot since starting, and made countless friends in the process. Aside from playing music at BU, I also spin it at WTBU as a DJ. I also run a lot, speak spoken word poetry, geek out with BU Shakespeare Society, and do Jewish stuff on campus.

Favorite BU Bands memory: My favorite BU Bands memory is playing with the pep band in the women’s beanpot game of 2019. It felt historic to see such a monumental win in person, and it was invigorating to cheer on the women’s ice hockey team both with words and our music.
