Michael Barsano

Michael Barsano is a higher education arts administrator. He began working at Boston University in October of 2006. He has held the positions of Senior Staff Assistant (BUMO), Program Administrator (BUMO), Manager of University Ensembles, and in March 2016 he became Director of University Ensembles. Michael received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Master of Science degree from Boston University.

Having been involved with band programs for most of his life, Mr. Barsano brings a wealth of experience to the School of Music and University Ensembles program. During his time at Boston University, he has overseen many infinitives such has instrument procurement program, the creation of the Band Room, and the full integration of the band program within the School of Music.
