Michael Harding

Hometown: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania 

Bio: Hello! I am a rising senior studying for my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Statistics with a minor in Computer Science. Since fourth grade, I have spent varying amounts of time playing the baritone, string bass, french horn, tuba, and of course, my favorite, the trombone. During high school, I split my time between playing trombone in the band, and performing with the theatre company, but now I’m All Band, All The Time. When I’m not spending (almost) every second of free time in the BU band room, you can find me cooking mac and cheese, playing video games, or running/playing in multiple D&D campaigns!

Favorite BU Bands memory: My favorite BU Bands memory is the 2018 Beanpot semifinals. BU went into double overtime against Harvard and in between the first and second overtime, the entire band picked up their instruments, bags, and everything else and moved a quarter of the way around the stadium to be right next to the Dog Pound. The energy in that moment was through the roof and we played our hearts out to help BU get the win that night, and since then, TD Garden has started seating us in the middle of the Dog Pound, so we get that kind of crazy energy right from the start!!
