Skylar Karzhevsky

Hometown: Blauvelt, New York

Short Bio: Hi everyone! I am a fourth year pep band member with three years playing bass in the rhythm section, and one year playing tenor sax as a freshman! I started playing sax when I was in fourth grade, picked up bass in fifth grade, and played both through high school in concert band and jazz band. When I’m not jamming with pep band you can find me doing research, playing bass with BU’s Supersax Jazz Ensemble, helping to run the BU’s Society of Women Engineers, perfecting my homemade hummus recipe, watching videos of baby animals, listening to podcasts, doing face masks, and defending the New York Yankees. 

Favorite thing about BU Bands: Having a creative outlet that I can count on. I love knowing that I can make music with my friends every week!
