Hannah Dion

Hometown: Rockville Centre, NY

Short Bio: I’ve been playing Trumpet since fourth grade, and it was always an important part of my life. I thought I wouldn’t continue in college, but Pep Band gave me a way to keep playing while also introducing me to passions I had never dreamed of before starting college. I had never marched before joining the BU Marching Band, but after learning (with moderate success) the difference between my right foot and my left, I haven’t looked back. So if you’re interested in marching but concerned about never having done it before, reach out to me and I’d be more than happy to talk with you about it! Outside of the band I work with the CAS Core Curriculum and enjoy fishing, skiing, and falling off my snowboard.

Favorite thing about BU Bands: I am constantly amazed by the camaraderie and loyalty of the members of the band. Everyone always watches out for each other both in and out of the band environment, and you really get a sense that you’re part of something bigger than just yourself. And the free Cane’s after hockey games, of course.
