Gretchen McCarthy

Hometown: Duxbury, Massachusetts

Short Bio: Hi my name is Gretchen McCarthy and I will be a senior this year. I am the mellophone section leader for pep band but I also play the french horn in concert band. I am a Marine Science major studying the biogeochemical impacts of oysters, but I am also interested in the aquarium hobby (specifically planted aquariums and reef tanks). A fun fact about myself is I can distinguish most of the New England Commercial oysters by shell appearance and also taste.

Favorite thing about BU Bands: I honestly enjoy recruitment events for the BU Bands quite a lot, but playing at the Beanpots is also a huge highlight of the year.
